Angela Hawkins has been involved in crafts all her life. As a child in Somerset she was taught knitting and embroidery by her mother and aunt. Later in life she lived for some years in the Shetland Isles and there learned Fair Isle knitting and knitted lace from the local experts. Now resident in Wales she has extended her skills to include exquisite fabric boxes and colourful beadwork. She has a strong sense of colour and employs leading edge techniques in producing her individually designed pieces
